Fall is Here!

I am BACK to school after my maternity leave... and while it is SO hard being away from this precious face each day...

I LOVE teaching and being back at school!

Here is a little of what has been going on in my classroom since I have returned:

Fall trees:  We stamp our handprint in brown paint then add torn paper "leaves".
Under our trees we hang our fall writing:  "In the fall, I like to..."

Here is our classroom door for the "fall" season-
I had the children write the different skills we have been working on since school has started onto pumpkins.  (Examples:  writing our names, numbers 1 to 30, estimation, learning to graph, etc.)

Our friendly squirrels (construction paper)
We write facts about squirrels on the leaves.

Here is our fall leaf graph.

Another "fall" board display!

This week in my morning math center, we are doing our "Read it, Write it, Show it, Stamp it" page with number words one to ten.  The children have to read the number, write the number, show how many, and then find the number stamp and stamp it!  They are doing really well with this.  I assess number word recognition tomorrow- fingers crossed they will do well!

Happy Fall!!
